Housing Assistance offered at Chief Seattle Club

Chief Seattle Club has periodic funding that may provide rental assistance, including past-due utilities, to those requiring assistance contingent on eligibility requirements. The homelessness prevention program only serves zip codes located in the City of Seattle. Chief Seattle Club's Rapid Rehousing program provides case management and temporary financial assistance to eligible members. The program assists members experiencing homelessness find long-term, affordable housing. The program requires the individuals search for housing in King County, outside counties are not eligible for assistance, and to be making under 50% of the area median income.

Chief Seattle Club operates on a walk-in basis. To become a member please visit us at our Pioneer Square location, 410 2nd Ave. Ext. S. Seattle 98104. For questions pertaining to member registration, the first step in seeking services, please contact (206) 715-7536. For questions pertaining to housing assistance for already registered members, please contact the Housing Department at 206-677-0912.

Eligibility

American Indians and Alaska Natives with proof of tribal affiliation or tribal descendancy paperwork, Pacific Islanders and Native Hawaiians. Individuals must register and be a member of the Chief Seattle Club to access services.

Chief Seattle Club

Operates a drop-in center for Native Americans and Alaska Natives, providing supportive services such as clothing, meals, hygiene items and assessment/referral to drug and alcohol treatment, health care, mental health and more. Assists with applications and questions regarding DSHS benefits. Provides support on getting an ID, glasses, housing assistance and case management services. Provides cultural programming and an art program.
