Emergency Financial Assistance offered at West Seattle Food Bank

Provides one-time financial assistance for past-due utilities and rent. Also provides limited move-in cost assistance for help with paying the deposit.

Leave a message and your call will be returned by a volunteer to discuss eligibility and go through the application. New calls for applications are only accepted the 1st through the 7th of each month.

Call and leave a message between the 1st and 7th of each month. (The hotline is closed for calls the rest of the month.) Call backs conducted to discuss eligibility.

Eligibility

Those with a Seattle mailing address in ZIP codes 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136 and parts of 98146. Does not serve residents of Burien or outside of Seattle city limits. Serves those in need of one-time assistance to help recover from an emergency, crisis or hardship. Must have a source of income to apply. In order to obtain move-in cost assistance, client must have secured housing with the only remaining barrier being the initial deposit.

Provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities and bus tickets to residents of West Seattle. Operates The Clothesline which provides free clothing and shoes for infants, children and adults in the Seattle metropolitan area. Operates a food pantry with baby items.
