Home Safe DV Shelter offered at New Beginnings

Provides confidential short-term housing to survivors of any gender, with or without children, who are fleeing an abusive intimate partner.   Clients can stay up to six months in individual apartments.   Support services include: -  DV advocacy -  Legal advocacy -  Housing search assistance -  Children's services - Parenting support -  On-site nursing/mental health support

Eligibility

Survivors with or without children, who are victims/survivors of domestic violence and who are fleeing an abusive intimate partner. No ID or documentation of domestic violence required. Pets accepted; shelter is not wheelchair accessible.

Provides confidential shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Helpline, legal advocacy and safety planning services offered to survivors of any gender.  Offers counseling for abused adults and children. Also offers parenting classes to non-abusing parents of children who have witnessed violence. Kids Club, a children’s support group, helps children deal with past exposure to domestic violence.
