Parents for Parents Program offered by Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center

Parents for Parents is a peer to peer program, led by parent allies. A parent ally is a parent who has previously navigated the child welfare system. We offer classes called Dependency 101 and Dependency 201 for parents involved with the child welfare system. We can pair a newly involved parent with a parent ally for ongoing mentorship and support. This program is available statewide.

Agency info

Multicultural Child and Family Hope Center

Mission: To provide culturally relevant support services to children and families through subsidized Daycare, ECEAP (Early Childhood Educations and Assistance Program), and DSHS - contracted services. We provide DSHS- approved Daycare for children ages six weeks to twelve years, which incorporates the ECEAP philosophy that children learn through play and free exploration. Day Care staff work collaboratively with ECEAP staff to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for the children. A number of services are offered to parents, focused on fostering healthy life practices, parenting skills/engagement, establishing safe living environments, and overcoming chemical dependency.
