Public Housing offered at Housing Opportunities of Southwest Washington
Provides affordable housing, housing subsidies, homeownership, and self-sufficiency opportunities. Two core programs are Section 8 and project-based rent assistance. Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV): Federally funded housing assistance program offering rental assistance for older adults, adults with disabilities, and very low-income families. Project-based rent assistance: Provides non-emergency subsidized apartment complexes in Longview, Cathlamet, Raymond, South Bend, and Woodland. Assistance is attached to the unit.

Application process
Walk in or visit website for information and to apply for housing. Maintains waitlists for all programs. When the Section 8 waitlist is open, must complete a pre-application to be placed on the waitlist.

Eligibility
Household must meet occupancy requirements for each project and apartment. Gross income must not exceed 50% of Area Median Income for the household size. Applicants must have had no criminal activity within the last 3 years.
