Compassion Transitional Houses offered at Acres of Diamonds
S shared housing facility. Residents have their own lockable room, with the rest of the house being shared with other women and their kids. Acres is a safe and zero tolerance program with random drug testing. The program is designed to help women get back on their feet. Program includes case management, budgeting classes, parenting classes, healthy boundaries, relationships classes, once a week shared meals, daily chores, curfews, and grace group, etc.

Room and board: $400 per month, but scholarships are available.
Eligibility
Women who have experienced homelessness either through car, shelter, couch surfing, or facing eviction, with up to four children; all children in household must be ages 12 and younger. Accepts women in domestic violence situations who do not need a confidential location. Accepts women transitioning out of inpatient treatment for addiction. Can not accept individuals who are on daily opiate blockers. Applicants must have a desire to become self-sufficient and should be ready for employment within about 30-90 days of entering program. Unemployed clients may apply, time for finding work is provided to be able to pay program service fee. Will not serve those with a violent criminal history or with a sex offense on their record. Clients with other prior convictions are considered on a case-by-case basis. Not able to serve those with extensive mental health issues. No pets allowed in shared housing.

As women become ready and space becomes available, families can move to the apartments onsite. Acres is a safe and sober house with random drug testing. The program is designed to help women get back on their feet. Acres accepts women from domestic violence situations who are not in need of a confidential location, as well as women transitioning out of inpatient treatment for addictions. Program participants are required to obtain full-time employment or have a combination of part-time employment, and part-time school enrollment. Program participants are also required to attend weekly counseling sessions, weekly case management appointments, weekly community meal, and group classes on Monday and Thursday nights.
