Children with Special Health Care Needs (First Steps) at Community Health of Central Washington's Ellensburg Medical & Dental Clinic
Offers special health care need for children with disabilities and the First Step program. Promotes an integrated system of services for infants, children and youth up to age 18 years who have or are at risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions and require health and related services of a type or amount beyond what is generally needed. The nurse is able to help families navigate through complex medical systems and connect with resources. Provides home or office nursing visits for assessment, referral and health education through the second month after the baby is born.
