Free Civil Legal Services offered at Chelan Douglas County Volunteer Attorney Services

Qualified individuals will receive a legal consultation with a volunteer attorney regarding civil legal matters. Volunteer attorneys provide legal advice, direction, paperwork review, and assistance completing legal documents. Assists with the following legal matters: - Walk-In Clinic every Wednesday, 2-4pm - Family law - Employment - Wills and estates - Consumer and bankruptcy - Housing: helps with eviction and landlord/tenant information

Eligibility

Must be low-income at 200% or below federal poverty level and live in Chelan/Douglas Counties or have a case pending in that area.

The mission of Chelan Douglas County Volunteer Attorney Services is to bridge the justice gap by facilitating high-quality, equitable, and free civil legal services to people in Chelan and Douglas experiencing poverty. CDCVAS accomplishes this mission by enlisting the help of pro bono and contracted lawyers throughout Chelan and Douglas Counties. Volunteer attorneys assist clients who have been screened and meet eligibility standards. Civil legal issues may include family law, housing and evictions, consumer and bankruptcy, employment, wills and estates, vacating convictions, etc.
