Seattle Senior Housing Program offered at Seattle Housing Authority
Provides affordable housing for older adults and individuals with disabilities, at 23 multi-family, low-rise buildings within the city of Seattle. Units are mostly one-bedroom, with a limited number of two-bedrooms. All buildings are owned by the Seattle Housing Authority. All units are wheelchair accessible.

Application process
Apply online or visit the website to download and print the application. Interpreters are available by advance arrangement. Applicants are placed on site-specific waiting lists, which vary in length from one to two years or longer. Eligible applicants are allowed to be on both the Seattle Senior Housing Program waiting list and the Low Income Public Housing waiting list simultaneously. Applicants on the Seattle Senior Housing Program waiting list must also participate in the Save My Spot system.
Fee
No fees for application. Minimum rent effective January 1 2023 is $340 and is updated annually every January. Security deposits are required at time of leasing and are based on number of bedrooms and size of the unit.
Eligibility
Households must include at least 1 member aged 62+, and/or individuals with disabilities to apply and/or to continue residing in SSHP Household income must be at or below 80% of Area Median Income; priority given to city of Seattle residents. Properties include 1 bedroom apartments and few 2 bedroom apartments only.
