Community Advocacy Program offered at New Beginnings

Provides advocacy for legal and public assistance needs for any victim of intimate partner domestic violence, any gender, living in Seattle, Shoreline or Lake Forest Park. Provides individual and group domestic violence advocacy for all genders. Offers support groups for survivors of domestic violence via zoom. Focus is on DV education, building self-esteem, ending social isolation, and group problem-solving.

Hours

M-F, 9am-5pm. Support groups meet in the evenings and one weekday morning.

Application process

Call the 24-hour help line.   Support group participants must call to be screened prior to attending any groups.

None.

Eligibility

Survivors with or without children, who are abused by partners in intimate relationships. Serves victims of domestic violence of all genders.

New Beginnings

Provides confidential shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Helpline, legal advocacy and safety planning services offered to survivors of any gender.  Offers counseling for abused adults and children. Also offers parenting classes to non-abusing parents of children who have witnessed violence. Kids Club, a children’s support group, helps children deal with past exposure to domestic violence.
