WIC Supplemental Nutrition Program offered at Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services

Provides nutrition education (individual counseling and group classes), breastfeeding promotion and support, breast pumps (in specific circumstances), monthly benefits for supplemental, specifically prescribed nutritious foods, as well as information and referral to other health programs like immunization, dental, and social service programs. Eligibility

US citizenship is not required to participate in WIC. Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for WIC: - Live in Washington (US citizenship is NOT required to participate in WIC). - Be a pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under age 5. - Have a household income less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). - Have a nutritional risk.  Anyone with a child under age 5 can apply for WIC, including fathers, foster parents, or other guardians. Foster children under 5 and foster teens who are pregnant can also apply.
