The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society can provide interest-free loans or grants to help with emergency needs such as:   * Emergency Transportation  * Funeral Expenses  * Medical/dental Bills (patient's share)  * Food  * Rent  * Utilities  * Disaster Relief Assistance  * Child Care Expenses  * Essential Vehicle Repairs  * Unforeseen Family Emergencies.   Servicemember or eligible family members who have an emergency need should contact the nearest NMCRS location and make an appointment to be seen by an NMCRS caseworker.   Bring your ID card and latest LES, if available, with you. If that office is closed and the emergency is of such a nature that it cannot wait until the next business day (e.g. death in the immediate family), the answering machine will provide instructions for obtaining "after hours" assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for eviction prevention, move-in costs, utilities, propane and limited prescriptions.   Offers limited financial help for gasoline, prescriptions and medical bills. Services include case management, when needed.

Provides assistance for Benton and Franklin County Veterans, their families, and the families of deceased Veterans who meet the eligibility criteria for assistance. Community referrals to partner agencies for housing, case management services, VA claims and other services are given when needed. Services may include: utility assistance, rental/mortgage assistance, application fee/background checks for housing or pre-employment, up to 1 week in a motel for homeless veterans, bus passes, food vouchers, burial expenses (up to $1,000), necessary safety equipment required by employer to gain employment, dental assistance (up to $2,000), and childcare assistance.

Offers financial assistance to cancer patients in urgent need who are within a three-month window of treatment. Cancer patients may be eligible for a one-time grant of up to $450 to help with expenses including the following: -  Rent/mortgage -  Utilities -  Food -  Transportation -  Dental care -  Childcare -  Medical supplies - Prescription copays Financial assistance may take up to two to three months, so program is not able to assist with immediate shut-off or eviction notices.  

Provides critical financial assistance for military families. Examples of financial assistance include: -  Car repair -  Essential home items -  Rent or mortgage -  Utilities -  Dental   -  Food   -  Moving -  Emergency travel & transportation   -  Eyeglasses   Must be able to show that financial resources are insufficient to meet current expenses, and that those expenses are already due or past due.   Can provide only emergency food assistance and eyeglasses to individuals in the general eligibility group.

Provides emergency financial assistance to musicians and recording industry professionals in times of need.   Assistance grants may be applied to medical and dental expenses, such as doctor/dentist/hospital bills, prescriptions, addiction recovery treatment, psychotherapy and treatment for chronic illnesses.   Assistance may also be provided for emergency rent and utility payments.   Also provides addiction recovery services and support and referrals to other appropriate agencies.

Provides financial counseling and may help with a grant to cover critical needs for qualifying military households. Grants provided but not limited to: - Bereavement Travel - Car Insurance - Critical baby items( cribs, car seats, diapers etc) - Major car repairs - Medical Travel - Rent/Utilities - Sewer service - Service Dog Care
