Assists with basic life needs and unanticipated financial needs such as:
- Mortgage and rent
- Car payment
- Home and auto repairs
- Insurance
- Utilities
- Food
- Clothing.
The financial assistance is in the form of up to $1,500 in grants that do not need to be repaid.
All grants are paid directly to the "creditor" (such as the electric company), and not to the individual.
Each case is reviewed individually and acceptance determined by a committee.
Applicants can receive funds only once every 18 months, and only twice total.
Second requests for assistance must be caused by a new situation and deployment.

If applicant is approved, a check in the amount of $250-$400 will be mailed.

Services may include: utility assistance, rental/mortgage assistance, application fee/background checks for housing or pre-employment, up to 1 week in a motel for homeless veterans, bus passes, food vouchers, burial expenses (up to $1,000), necessary safety equipment required by employer to gain employment, dental assistance (up to $2,000), and childcare assistance.
