Offers early support services for families of children with disabilities, and assessments for children birth to 3 years of age that may have developmental concerns. Services can include Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Early Childhood Special Education, Social Worker, Infant Mental Health, ABA, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Registered Dietitian, and Family Resources Coordination.  The Infant Toddler Program is certified by the State of Washington as the following:   Neurodevelopmental Program by the Department of Health, Early Support Provider Agency by DCYF, Developmental Disabilities Center through DSHS, Holly Ridge Center is Early Support Services Provider Program for Kitsap County and part of North Mason County (North Mason School District area).

Offers special health care need for children with disabilities and the First Step program. Promotes an integrated system of services for infants, children and youth up to age 18 years who have or are at risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions and require health and related services of a type or amount beyond what is generally needed. The nurse is able to help families navigate through complex medical systems and connect with resources. Provides home or office nursing visits for assessment, referral and health education through the second month after the baby is born.

CYSHCN serves children who have or are at risk of having a serious physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional condition and require additional support. CYSHCN promotes integrated systems of care that assure children with special health care needs have the opportunity to achieve the healthiest life possible and develop to their fullest potential. Services can include: helping a family find or coordinate medical providers or a medical home, help accessing local resources or services for the child and provide information about local community resources, including parent support organizations and community coalitions.

Serves children who have serious physical, behavioral, or emotional conditions that require health related services beyond those required generally. The mission is to promote integrated systems of care that assure children with special health care needs have the opportunity to achieve the healthiest life possible and develop to their fullest potential. Promotes access to integrated, family centered, culturally competent and community based programs and services.

Provides various services for children, such as car seat safety checks and car seat discounted fees, Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD Dental), and Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN). - ABCD provides access to dental care throughout Benton Franklin Counties for children who have WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Provides assistance in finding a dentist that will fit location, timing and language preferences and assists in coordinating transportation and interpreter services. - CSHCN provides care coordination for children with complex health needs, assists families to coordinate care with medical providers, to access local resources for their child, and to understand cope with the child's health condition. - Car seat safety check are also provided at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Yakima Health District works in partnership with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services and Developmental Disabilities Administration to administer a range of specific programs by subcontracting with local agencies to provide support and services, birth through life, to people with developmental disabilities and their families. Yakima County's Developmental Disabilities program provides: -  Child development services for children ages birth to three years old with developmental delays or disabilities -  School Transition Support to students with developmental disabilities, in their last eligible year of high school -  Adult services to assist adults with developmental disabilities find and maintain employment and live full participating and contributing lives within the community -  Community education and information services designed to increase public awareness and build community capacity for including people with developmental disabilities

Provides a wide rage of services for children with special and developmental healthcare needs and their families. Integrates physical health, behavior, mental health, and educational services to optimize daily life for the child and family. Provides Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnostic clinic, behavioral and developmental evaluations, cleft lip and palate program, infant and toddler early intervention, medical specialty clinics, nurse family partnership, pediatric dental services, therapy services, speech and language therapy, genetics program, and family support.

Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) is a program that extends and improves access to medical services. Provides access for identification, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of children under the age of 18 with physically handicapping or potentially handicapping conditions. It reduces the financial impact these services have on families who lack adequate resources for care.   Children with special health care needs may benefit from services such as:   Early identification of health or developmental problems,    Screening and/or assessment of the child and family's concerns, priorities and resources,    Tracking or monitoring,    Therapeutic intervention(s) including family education and support, and resource identification, referral, and coordination.    Home visits and/or telephone consultations with a Community Health Nurse can help provide Care Coordination Services.  And offer education about the following:   Medical problems, the care needs and available resources    Child behavior, growth and development, and Nutrition, basic baby and childcare    Parenting issues    Immunization information    Safety issues    Stress reduction    Taking care of yourself to prevent illness    Assist with problem solving and decision making

CSHCN serves children who have or are at risk of having a serious physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional condition and require additional support. Promotes integrated systems of care that assure children with special health care needs have the opportunity to achieve the healthiest life possible and develop to their fullest potential. Services can include: helping a family find or coordinate medical providers, a medical home, help accessing local resources or services for the child and provide information about local community resources, including parent support organizations and community coalitions.

A public health nurse is able to provide referrals and coordination of services for children with special health care needs such as asthma, cleft lip and palate, and speech or language delays. The public health nurse can assess a child's needs, make referrals, and work with agencies to help.  Services may be accessed by telephone or a home visit.
